Rachel Kavathe is an artist, landscape architect and urban designer located in Indiana. Her artwork focuses on our connections to the natural environment and sense of place. She works in a variety of media, ranging from painting to sculptural works in stone, wood, and natural objects.

She is currently working on a series of textural paintings using harvested seeds and plant materials to investigate the connections between native plants and the pollinator species that they sustain. In addition to her studio art practice, she also designs public spaces, teaches urban design, and creates public art installations.
